Privacy Policy

The short version: the invoices, receipts, quotes and estimates you create are built entirely in your browser. We never see what you type into the form, we don't require an account, we don't show ads, and we never sell data.

Who we are

ZeInvoice (zeinvoice.com) is operated from France. For anything related to your data, email contact@zeinvoice.com.

What happens to what you type

• Your documents are generated on your own device. The details you enter (your business, your client, line items, bank details) are not sent to our servers.
• So you don't lose your work, your in-progress draft and your last document number are saved in your browser's local storage, on your device only. Clearing this site's data in your browser deletes them.
• If you upload a logo, it stays in your browser too and is only placed inside the PDF you download.

Emailing yourself a copy

When this option is available and you use it, your email address and the generated PDF are sent to our email provider, Resend, solely to deliver that one email. We don't keep a copy of the PDF. If you also tick the box to receive product updates, your email address is added to our mailing list (held with Resend) until you unsubscribe — every update email lets you unsubscribe, or you can email us.

Analytics and cookies

• Vercel Web Analytics counts page views without cookies. Visits are identified by a hash of the request that is discarded after 24 hours, and we only see aggregated statistics such as pages viewed, referrer, country, browser and device type (Vercel's documentation).
• Microsoft Clarity only runs if you click “Accept” in the cookie banner. It uses cookies to show us how pages are used — clicks, scrolling, and session replays — so we can fix what's confusing. Clarity masks everything typed into form fields in all of its modes (Microsoft's documentation), and we additionally mask the whole invoice generator, so the content of your documents is never recorded. If you decline, Clarity is never loaded.
• You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing consent deletes Clarity's cookies.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel, which processes technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver pages and protect the site against abuse.

Service providers and transfers

Vercel, Microsoft and Resend are based in, or may process data in, the United States. We rely on the safeguards they provide for international transfers, such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.

Legal bases (GDPR and UK GDPR)

• Consent — Microsoft Clarity and the product-updates mailing list.
• Providing the service you ask for — emailing you a copy of your document.
• Legitimate interests — aggregated, cookieless page statistics and keeping the site secure.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or export personal data we hold about you, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent at any time — email contact@zeinvoice.com. You can also complain to a data protection authority: the CNIL in France, or the ICO in the UK.

Children

ZeInvoice is a business tool and isn't directed at children under 16.
